Through its partners in the social and educational sector, the association offers various services related to asylum, integration, training and studies, and acts as a contact between immigrants and the authorities of the host country.

We offer free counselling, information, orientation, advice and help in finding solutions to various difficulties (social, educational, family, economic, administrative, legal and so on). You can also turn to us for advice and support in choosing your career direction.

One of the most requested services of our association is interpreting and translating.
We are glad to offer this service, to the great benefit of everyone who turns to us.
Our services include:

Psychosocial counselling and support for people in difficulty.

Afrika Time e.V. offers people in stressful life situations psychosocial counselling geared to their individual needs. Our offer is aimed in particular at people with experience of migration or flight, as well as at everyone going through a difficult phase of life – whether through family, social, psychological or economic challenges. Our counselling takes place in a safe, confidential setting and is culturally sensitive. We create room for conversation, orientation and emotional relief. We stand alongside those seeking advice, to develop together paths towards more stability, self-determination and participation. Psychosocial counselling is free of charge and, on request, also takes place in several languages. Afrika Time e.V. takes time for migrants and offers individual help with filling in and understanding the most varied forms and documents.

Our offer includes, among other things:

Contract documents (e.g. rental, employment or insurance contracts)
Explanation and translation of medical reports
Support with job searches and applications
Matching skilled workers and qualifications to suitable positions

Our task

Our task is to provide information on topics such as social rights, educational opportunities, international mobility, jobs, student jobs, employment and so on. Our activities include free meetings where you can ask your questions, activities and materials (e.g. brochures and educational dossiers). Workshops dealing, for example, with the search for a student job, the recognition of diplomas and certificates or self-knowledge are usually organised, with the main project, the introduction to the German language, taking centre stage. All these initiatives are aimed at everyone with a migration background, regardless of their age.

- Since 2019 our association has accompanied, in partnership with a driving school, 22 young people who were all trained and today work in the profession of their choice.

- 2019 The election of the Diaspora Ambassador allows girls to flourish more and to believe more in themselves. This event was made possible through the help of sponsors and through cooperation with several associations.
